Current research
Based on genome analyzes of arthropod-borne protozoan and rickettsial zoonotic diseases, identification of genes relevant to pathogenesis, studies on molecular pathogenesis and disease transmission are being conducted. Through collaborative studies and field surveillance with institutions in Africa such as Zambia and South Africa, metagenomic analyzes of zoonotic pathogens and development of molecular diagnosis methods are being carried out.
