Title:Professor
Degree:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Name of the field:Radiation Biology
Current research
We conduct the research about 1) the mechanism for radiation-induced cellular responses (i.e., cell death, apoptosis, cell arrest and mitochondrial metabolism) in normal and tumor tissue and their related signal transduction, 2) the development for the functional imaging technique in laboratory animals by employing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) and 3) the structural analysis for high molecular weight biomolecules such as prion fibrous form by the site-directed spin labeling (SDSL) technique combined with electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy.
Projects for graduate students
- Promotion of fostering Chemical Hazard Control Expert (Evaluations of radiation effect in biological system and radioactive contamination in food stuff).
