Building International Research Network for Chemical Hazards in Africa

In Africa, pollutants released into the environment have been increasing year by year. In addition to the global spread of environmental pollutants, Africa’s most serious problems include the abandonment of industrial and electronic wastes and obsolete agricultural chemicals. However, very little information on pollution is available in African countries.

In this international joint project, international collaborative surveillance for environmental pollution is conducted jointly with African countries, and research is conducted with a view to developing a “toxicology network” into a consortium in the future.
