Zoonosis Control Doctor Certification Program
Hokkaido University Global COE program “Establishment of International Collaboration Centers for Zoonosis Control” offers a Zoonosis Control Expert Certification Program (referred to below as the ZCE Certification Program) in order to promote research and education on zoonoses and foster young researchers contributing to the design and implementation of zoonosis control measures. After successful completion of this course, program participants will be deemed to have a grounding as experts who can contribute to zoonosis control measures, and will be certified as Zoonosis Control Expert.
Successfully overcoming zoonoses requires an interdisciplinary approach involving many fields of study including medical science, veterinary science, pharmacy, physiology, wildlife ecology and information science. Accordingly, the program will aim to foster young researchers with a sound level of basic knowledge that can be used to control zoonoses from a multidisciplinary perspective.
